Are these decorative objects or actual candles?
They are fully functional candles, handcrafted in wax and designed to be displayed, burned, or simply admired.
Their forms are inspired by familiar objects from the market, the garden and the table — interpreted with an unusual level of detail.
Why do they look so close to the real thing?
Because proportion, texture, colour and surface detail matter.
Each piece is developed to preserve the visual character of the original object, then poured, finished and coloured by hand in our Lisbon atelier.
Are these candles designed to be burned?
Yes. They are functional candles, although many clients choose to keep them unlit as decorative pieces.
Because sculpted candles melt differently from container candles, we always recommend burning them on a suitable heat-resistant plate.
Can they be used for table styling?
Absolutely. Our object candles are particularly suited to dining tables, private events and interiors where a small unexpected detail can completely change the atmosphere.
They can be used individually or arranged in groups with ceramics, flowers, linen and glassware.
Where are Origine Candles made?
All Origine Candles are handcrafted in Lisbon, Portugal.
From wax preparation to finishing and final colouring, our production remains closely connected to the atelier.
